Our founder Mr. Pang Khek Seng joined the food and beverage business in his young age working at his father’s dim sum shop in Sungai Petani, Kedah. Aspiring to be a professional chef and to improve his skills, he worked in various organisations; from several hotels, to cruise ships and even pastry shops. Dim sum is a Chinese cuisine that delights the customer’s palate and require detailed culinary skills to be made to perfection.
Mr. Pang established Dragon World Gourmet Sdn. Bhd. in 2007. Since then, Dragon World Gourmet has ventured into the manufacture and supply of its Hong Kong style Dim Sums to other restaurants and food court in Penang. This was part of its efforts to diversify its products and market base.
Through innovative combinations and exhaustive research, the company has introduced many novel products incorporating a mixture of complementing ingredients to delight the taste buds of modern consumers. Foremost to Dragon World Gourmet rapid growth has been its dedication towards producing only the highest quality products that meet stringent regulatory requirements.
With years of experience supplying quality dim sum products, Dragon World Gourmet now markets its products to everyday consumers. Dim sum fans can now bring our products back home and enjoy fresh, delicious dim sum with just a few simple preparation steps.
Currently, we produce around 50 varieties of dim sum comprising of steamed, baked, and fried dishes produced by our talented chef under the guidance of our founder. Our best-selling products are BBQ Bao, Siew Mai and many more. We continuously seek to improve and introduce new products for our consumers.
